What can you expect from the average Charity Chit Chat session?
Let’s take a look back at the December 2016 session which was hosted this time by the Circle Dundee – a hub for charities, social enterprises, community groups and socially aware businesses in Dundee. More than 50 people from wide range of organisations attended this event.
We kicked off with short presentations from speakers which included Nicola Donnelly, Facilities & Services Development Manager at the Circle, Kevin Anderson, storytelling coach and founder of the Story Edge and Beth Curzon of Dundee Voluntary Action on the Good Governance Award.
After a short break we moved on to a workshop facilitated by the SCVO’s One Digital team who gathered the attendees into groups to discuss their digital challenges and successes.
And after all this information gathering the time was dedicated to the important business of networking. For many networking can be daunting but no one stands alone at Charity Chit Chat – people actively work to include everyone in the discussions.
“I would like to thank the team at ACK for inviting me along to the December chit chat which was hugely beneficial to a newbie like myself 🙂
I have since met with 5 different organisations after meeting and exchanging details and now look forward to working with them in 2017.
I can’t wait to see what the future brings for Better Life but now know there is much support and advice when needed.
Again, thank you team ACK.”

“We wanted to express our thanks for the benefits we gained by attending a recent Charity Chit Chat event in Dundee. In short we learned top tips about social media and enjoyed the opportunity to network at the packed meeting, we had a particular query we needed help with and were able to raise our issue directly with the right people who very helpfully happened to be there. We appreciate the value of networking which this type of event does so well, getting out and meeting others in our sector and collaborating benefits everyone. Thanks again”
