Established in 2012 ACK has quickly developed into a team of four members of staff with the additional support of volunteers. We all have different skills, love new challenges and want to ensure that you have the best customer experience. Our clients are organisations looking to improve and grow. We work with charities, social enterprises, individual fundraisers, community groups, small businesses, business networks and Universities. Together we can achieve more.
“If we were good at everything we would have no need for each other’
– Simon Sinek
With 20 years of experience in the charitable sector I have secured funding in excess of 12 million for organisations across the UK. I run two social enterprises and I know how difficult it can be to achieve your goals in this economic climate.
Marketing & Communications Officer
I started at ACK on an employability skills placement in December 2014. I was then lucky enough to be taken on as a permanent member of the ACK team. After starting out performing administrative duties I found my niche in marketing.
Community Fundraising Intern
I joined ACK in January 2018 through the Time to Shine Internship Programme with The Rank Foundation. My role is to develop a community fundraising model for small to medium sized charities. I’ve always had an interest in the third sector and I can’t wait to make a difference.
I joined ACK in November 2017 through Community Jobs Scotland which creates Third Sector jobs in Scotland. My role involves answering the phone in the office and updating internal computer databases to ensure a smooth running of the business.
Louise is currently Head of Employability, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship for the School of Art and Design at the University of Dundee (UK) and is an active design researcher.
I am based at Ninewells with a real interest in developing collaborations between the creative industries and the health / social care sectors. I aspire to focus on the value of Design and “Design thinking” and help grow new economies in Tayside through collaboration between the public, private, voluntary and third sectors.
I qualified as a physiotherapist 16 years ago and quickly realised that working with people who had acquired neurological impairments was where my passion lay. I love finding out about the person behind the disability and embarking on a journey alongside them to help them achieve maximum recovery.
ACK Board Member
I worked in legal and governance roles in listed companies for 30 years, latterly as Company Secretary of Alliance Trust PLC, where I was responsible for setting up and chairing the Alliance Trust Foundation. I see ACK as having a pivotal role supporting local community groups and social enterprises to achieve their own goals.
